If you are NOT over the age of 60 but have a disability you may also be eligible for the Ohio Homecare Waiver (HCP) program. Contact the HCP program at (614) 751-7777 or toll-free at (800) 616-3718 for more information on the application process.
Tell your Social Services Case Manager that you would like to use Ahler’s for your meals. Once we are noticed by your funding agency that you are eligible for a meal program, we will immediately contact you and go over meal options and inform you of your start date.
The day your first meals begin, an Ahler’s Meal Provider Specialist will come to your home and explain the ordering process, meal selection and answer any questions you have.
When your meals are delivered, you will need to sign a form acknowledging you received the meals.
After your first delivery, you will receive regularly scheduled meals based on the number of meals determined by your Social Services Case Manager. We will contact you to let you know your regular day and time of delivery.
If no one is at home to receive your meals and sign for them, we are not able to leave them due to the perishable nature of the items.
We are also unable to re-deliver your meals on another day or time that week. You will receive your next meals at the regularly scheduled delivery time based on the meal selections you made for the week you missed.
Contact Ahler’s at (937) 506-8487, Monday thru Friday 8AM to 4PM. If you need to stop your deliveries due to a vacation or other reason, we would appreciate a 48 hour advanced notice.
This is not up to Ahler’s Catering employees/drivers to make those decisions. Your case manager would have to approve this request and submit to us BEFORE your scheduled delivery day.
At this time, we are unable to do re-deliveries so we encourage our clients to be home and available during their delivery time frame. You do have the option to reach out to your case manager and get approval for a double delivery at your next regular scheduled delivery time.
According to the Ohio Administrative Code, clients are only permitted to receive their meals at their home or designated service address.
